General Information

1. The Foundation Day for the year 2007 was an important event. The effort was made to reach the maximum members on the occasion. In was found that the whole data available was outdated. The addresses and the telephone numbers had changed over the period. Few letters returned and a number did not reach their destinations. This demands serious attention and updating of record.

2. On 8 Dec 1937, our institution was upgraded to College. The year 2008 is the year of Platinum Jubilee and have to be honoured as such. It can not happen till all the old students participate. OSA requests all the old students to immediately become the members . We intend to call our old students from India and abroad on 8th Dec 2008. To make it a success every old student and member is required to play his role in the membership drive. They must be having contacts with their relatives, friends and colleagues who studied with them. Be kind to contact them. All old members are also required to reapply as per procedure

3. We also feel the necessity of opening up a directory on the net for ease of interaction A provisional directory has been placed with following segregations.

   a.  Directory A.         Students who studied till year 1975.

   b.  Directory B          Students between year 1976 to 2000.

   c.  Directory C          Students from the year 2001 to 2008.

   d.  Directory D          Female students.

4. We are trying to maintain the directory according to the seniority hence the membership no are not being allocated.  After allotment of the numbers it will not be possible to maintain the seniority for late application. We are likely to allot numbers with effect from 31 Jan 2008

Membership Policy

    5.  Membership is open to all ex-students of Government College now known as Government
          College University.

    6.   Eligibility is enumerated in the rules available on this site.

    7.   Membership can apply on the the prescribed Performa . You may download the form.

    8.   The form duly completed  along with bank deposit slip will be forwarded to General   
           Secretary for scrutiny and approval.

  

Subscriptions

    9. Executive Committee members:  Rs 1000/- per year

    10. All other members:                        Rs 600/- per year    ( Rs 50/- per month)

    11. Membership fee:                            Rs 100/- at the time of membership.

    12. Cash amount is not accepted. Please deposit the CASH in any branch of bank as under  :-
